Parental consent required
Because you’re under 13, U.S. law (COPPA) requires us to get verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before we create an account or save any of your work. Pick the option that’s easiest for your situation. Tendril learning stays free; one optional card verification method uses a tiny refunded hold only to confirm an adult.

2 · Free · < 1 min
If your child's school, library, after-care program, or community center sent you an invite code, this is the fastest path.
3 · Free · mail-in review · NEW
Print our FTC-approved form, sign it, and mail it back. Account activates one business day after we receive it. For families without bank cards, smartphones, or partner libraries.
4 · Optional card hold · refunded
Charges your card $0.10 then refunds it within one business day. Avoid this method on prepaid debit cards — the hold can decline other purchases.
5 · Free · 1–2 min
Photo of a driver's license or state ID. Used only for verification and deleted after review, no later than 30 days. For households without a card or partner library.
We’ll send a one-time link with a plain-English notice of what we collect, why, and for how long. Until they click it and confirm, no account is created and nothing is saved.
