Tendril targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. Tendril is designed to meet Section 508 requirements for federal-grant-funded deployments (LSTA / IMLS) and is undergoing evaluation.
What this means in practice
- We audit interactive elements for keyboard operation.
- We target useful alt text for informative images and decorative marking for purely decorative images.
- Videos have captions. Lesson animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Color is not intended to be the only way information is conveyed. Text contrast is reviewed against AA targets.
- We use automated checks and manual review on representative flows before major releases.
Known issues
A May 2026 audit found mobile spacing, touch-target, and contrast areas that we are actively tightening. Please contact us if something blocks your use of Tendril.
