Amazon
Updated May 2026Amazon Nova
AWS's house-brand frontier models
Amazon launched Nova in late 2024 — their first serious attempt at competing with OpenAI, Anthropic (in which they invested $8B), and Google on their own models. Nova models are optimized for Bedrock, AWS's managed AI platform, and priced aggressively. The pitch is simple: if you're already on AWS, you get strong frontier-class models without routing traffic to a third-party lab.
