Udio (Uncharted Labs)
Updated May 2026Udio
The producer-favorite AI music model
Udio was founded by ex-Google DeepMind researchers who worked on MusicLM, and they launched in 2024 with a clear pitch: higher musical fidelity than Suno at the cost of convenience. Producers love Udio for its stem separation (bass, drums, vocals as separate downloads) and inpainting (replace 4 bars without regenerating the whole song). It's the closest thing the AI music world has to a real DAW.

Udio vocal-forward pop track
BuildersUdio has a reputation for cleaner vocals — test against Suno on the same lyrics.
Style: modern pop, female vocals, sparkling synths, drums come in on chorus, 110 BPM. Lyrics: 'Meet me where the streetlights bend / Promise me we'll never end...'
Udio 'extend' to lengthen a demo
CreatorsUdio's Extend feature lets you stretch a generated clip — useful for longer cues.
[Seed clip 30s: instrumental jazz] Extend this by another 60 seconds, staying in the same key and tempo, adding a saxophone solo in the middle 30 seconds.
Udio for orchestral trailer beds
CreatorsGood for game/film trailer music beds.
Style: epic cinematic orchestral, rising strings, deep percussion, climactic horn swell at 0:40, no vocals. 60-second trailer bed.
