Section 1
The big idea
AI tools can listen to a conversation and take notes for you. Cool, right? But there is a catch — you have to ASK people if you can record them. Recording without permission is rude (and in many places, illegal).
Real examples
- Club meeting: ask the group 'Can I record this so AI takes notes?' Most will say yes.
- Group project meeting: ask first. Some kids might be uncomfortable being recorded.
- Study session with a friend: ask. Friends should agree before recording.
- Family meeting or private convo: usually a no-go to record. Stick with paper notes.
Try it yourself
Next group thing, ask: 'Could I record this for AI notes?' If they say yes, try it. If they say no, no problem — paper works fine. The asking is the skill.
