Fiverr explicitly allows users 13+ with parental consent; Upwork is 18+. AI-adjacent gigs — prompt packs, custom GPTs, social-media graphics, voice-overs, and short video edits — are the easiest entry points and most popular categories on Fiverr today.
Some examples
- A 14-year-old selling 'I'll create a custom GPT for your business — $25' can clear $200-$500/month doing 8-20 gigs.
- Voice-over work on AI-narrated content sells well; even a basic Blue Yeti mic ($100) gets you to professional-enough audio.
- Logo design, podcast cover art, and Notion templates are all AI-assisted gigs that sell consistently.
- Anything over $400/year of self-employment income requires a Schedule C on your tax return — keep records from gig 1.
