Section 1
The big idea
Most schools have no AI club. Starting one is way easier than you think — and it shows real leadership for college applications. Plus you get to learn cool stuff with friends.
Real examples
- Find a teacher willing to be advisor (your tech teacher, librarian, or science teacher are good bets).
- Plan 4 starter activities: AI demo day, deepfake awareness, ethics debate, build-something day.
- Invite anyone curious — not just 'computer kids'. AI affects everyone.
- Document everything (photos, notes) for your eventual application.
Try it yourself
Pick a teacher to ask. Email them this week: 'I want to start an AI club. Would you be the advisor?' That is the first step. Most teachers will say yes.
