Section 1
Your story matters more than you think
The hardest part of writing a memoir is the blank page. The second hardest is fixing the tangled sentences afterward. AI helps with both — gently, in your own voice.
A simple memoir process
- 1Open the Voice Memos app on your phone (or any recorder). Pick one memory and talk for 5–10 minutes.
- 2Use a free transcription tool or a chatbot's voice mode to turn the audio into typed words.
- 3Paste the transcript into a chatbot and ask: 'Clean up this transcript into clear paragraphs. Keep my voice. Do not invent details.'
- 4Read it out loud. Edit anything that does not sound like you.
Keeping it real
Key terms in this lesson
The big idea: AI cleans the writing. The memories must come from you, exactly as they were.
