Section 1
The big idea
AI can list 20 business names in a flash — you pick the one with the most spark.
Some examples
- Try: 'Give me 10 fun names for a kid bracelet shop.'
- Pick names that are easy to say and remember.
- Check with a grown-up that the name is okay to use.
Try it!
Pick a kid business. Ask AI for 10 names. Circle your top 3.
The secret to a name that lasts
Huge brands like Apple, Amazon, and Google chose simple, short names that are completely unrelated to technology — and somehow that makes them more memorable. 'Apple' is just a fruit. 'Amazon' is a river. 'Google' is a made-up word based on a math term. The point is: the name itself doesn't have to describe everything the business does. What matters is that the name is distinctive, easy to say, and easy to remember. For a kid business, you have more fun options: rhymes work great ('Slime Time,' 'The Bracelet Planet'), alliteration is catchy ('Cookie Corner,' 'Perfect Paws'), and made-up words can be surprisingly sticky ('Zippity Dog Walks'). When you ask AI for name ideas, you're getting a starting point — not the final answer. The final answer is the name you feel most excited to say to a customer, write on a sign, and call your own.
- Short is usually better: one or two words beats five
- Rhymes are catchy: 'Slime Time,' 'Bracelet Planet'
- Alliteration sticks: 'Cookie Corner,' 'Perfect Paws'
- Made-up words can be unique: create something nobody else has
- Always check it with a grown-up before using it publicly
