A Rolling Doctor's Office
An ambulance is a fast-moving doctor's office. EMS workers (the people in ambulances) have to figure out a lot in a short time.
AI in the ambulance helps. It reads vital signs — heart rate, breathing, blood pressure — and suggests what kind of problem this might be. It also tells the hospital what's coming so they can be ready.
Things AI helps EMS with
- Reading vital signs faster
- Spotting warning patterns
- Sending updates to the hospital
- Routing to the closest right hospital
Key terms in this lesson
The big idea: AI helps ambulance teams move faster and gives the hospital a head start.
