Section 1
The big idea
Figma is the standard for UI design, and now it has AI baked in: generate a mockup from text, auto-rename messy layers, and write placeholder copy that's actually relevant.
Some examples
- Type 'mobile app login screen for a meditation app' and get a real mockup.
- Use AI to rename 200 layers from 'Frame 41' to 'header logo,' 'nav menu,' etc.
- Generate realistic copy for buttons and labels instead of 'Lorem ipsum.'
- Have AI suggest accessible color palette swaps for a dark-mode design.
Try it!
Open Figma (free for students). Try the AI mockup generator with one prompt for an app you'd actually use. Edit it to make it yours.
