AI and Midjourney: making jaw-dropping art
Use Midjourney to generate beautiful images from text prompts.
Builders · Tools Literacy · ~4 min read
The big idea
Midjourney makes some of the most stunning AI images out there. It runs in Discord, which is weird but you get used to it. Paid only, but the free trial lets you test the vibe.
Some examples
- Generate concept art for a story
- Make a poster for a club event
- Visualize a dream you remember
- Iterate by varying just one word
Try it!
On Midjourney's free trial or a friend's account, generate the same prompt with three different style words. See how much one word changes the image.
Key terms in this lesson
Practice this safely
Try this with a school, hobby, or family example where the stakes are low. Use the AI output as a draft you can question, not as the final answer.
- 1Ask AI to explain midjourney in plain language, then underline anything that sounds uncertain or too broad.
- 2Give it one detail from "AI and Midjourney: making jaw-dropping art" and ask for two possible next steps plus one reason each step might be wrong.
- 3Check image-generation against a trusted source, teacher, adult, expert, or original document before you use it.
