AI and Udio: another way to make AI songs
Use Udio to generate full songs with vocals as an alternative to Suno.
Builders · Tools Literacy · ~4 min read
The big idea
Udio is Suno's main competitor for AI music. The vocals sometimes sound more natural and the genre control is solid. Try both and use whichever fits the vibe of your project.
Some examples
- Generate a folk song about your hometown
- Make a hip-hop track with custom lyrics
- Try the same prompt on Udio and Suno and compare
- Use 'extend' to make a 30-second clip into 2 minutes
Try it!
Pick a topic. Generate the same song idea on Udio and Suno. Vote on which version you'd actually share with friends.

Practice this safely
Try this with a school, hobby, or family example where the stakes are low. Use the AI output as a draft you can question, not as the final answer.
- 1Ask AI to explain udio in plain language, then underline anything that sounds uncertain or too broad.
- 2Give it one detail from "AI and Udio: another way to make AI songs" and ask for two possible next steps plus one reason each step might be wrong.
- 3Check music against a trusted source, teacher, adult, expert, or original document before you use it.
