Section 1
The big idea
A chatbot is like texting with a robot helper. You type a question or idea, and it types back. Some chatbots are made just for kids and have safety rules built in. Always use a chatbot a grown-up has approved.
Some examples
- ChatGPT is a famous chatbot — but use a kid version.
- Some homework helpers are kid-safe chatbots.
- You type, it answers, you reply — back and forth.
- Always tell an adult if a chatbot says anything weird.
Try it!
Ask a grown-up to show you a kid-safe chatbot. Try asking it a fun question, like 'Why do cats purr?'
