Section 1
The big idea
Voice helpers are AI. When you say 'Hey Siri, what's the weather?' or 'Alexa, set a timer,' AI is listening, understanding, and answering.
Some examples
- Good at: setting timers, playing music, telling the weather, doing simple math.
- Okay at: answering basic questions ('How tall is the Eiffel Tower?').
- Bad at: long conversations, hard questions, anything that needs your name or family info.
- Sometimes funny: when they totally mishear what you said.
Try it!
With a grown-up, try asking a voice helper a tricky riddle. Then ask the same thing as a chatbot question. Notice which gives the better answer.
