The big idea
AI can usually chat in English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and more. But it learned each language from how much it read in that language. Languages with less written stuff online get less love from AI.
Some examples
- AI is usually great at English (lots of training text).
- AI is decent at Spanish, French, German.
- AI can stumble in rare languages with fewer online speakers.
- AI might even mix two languages by accident.
