How AI Picks Between 'Safe' and 'Creative' Answers

AI has a setting called temperature that decides how wild or safe its answers are.

The big idea

AI has a dial called temperature. Low temperature gives safe, expected answers. High temperature gives surprising, creative ones.

Some examples

Low temperature: AI says 'The cat sat on the mat.'
High temperature: AI says 'The cat juggled marshmallows in space.'
Math homework needs low temperature so AI doesn't get creative with numbers.
Story-writing might use higher temperature for fun ideas.

Temperature = wildness dial

Lower temperature means safer answers, higher means more surprising answers.
