Section 1
The big idea
Even when AI uses words like 'I'm sad' or 'I love that', it isn't really feeling anything. AI is software — it has no body, no heart, and no feelings.
Some examples
- AI can write a poem about being lonely without ever feeling lonely.
- If you yell at AI, it can't get its feelings hurt — but it's still good to be kind.
- AI doesn't get tired, even after answering a million questions.
- AI doesn't celebrate when it gets things right.
Try it!
Ask an AI 'how are you feeling today?' Notice how it answers in words, but remember — it's just predicting nice-sounding text.
