The big idea
When grown-ups say 'AI' they usually mean a chatbot. But there are many chatbots! Different companies built different ones. They all do similar things, but each one has a personality.
Some examples
- ChatGPT is made by OpenAI. It is the one that became famous first.
- Claude is made by Anthropic. It is known for being polite and careful.
- Gemini is made by Google. It can search the web really well.
- Copilot is from Microsoft. It is built into a lot of Microsoft tools.
Try it!
With a grown-up, try the same exact question on two different chatbots. Notice how the answers can be different — even for the same question!
