Even if AI wrote the words, you are the one who hit send. The hurt to another person is the same.
Some examples
- Asking AI to make a 'roast' of a kid and posting it — that is on you
- Forwarding an AI-written rumor speeds it up to many people fast
- Using AI to make screenshots of fake messages can really hurt someone
- Saying 'AI did it' will not undo the damage or save you from trouble
