Section 1
The big idea
If a friend tells you a secret or sends a photo, that's THEIR information — not yours to give to AI. Always ask before sharing other people's stuff with any AI tool.
Some examples
- Don't paste a friend's text message into AI without asking.
- Never upload a photo of a classmate without their permission.
- Don't have AI make fun of someone behind their back.
- If unsure, just don't share — that's the safest choice.
Try it!
Imagine a friend told you something private. List 3 reasons NOT to share it with AI.
Section 2
Don't Put Friends' Photos in AI Without Asking
Section 3
The big idea
AI can change photos in cool ways — turn you into a cartoon, swap backgrounds, all that. But if it's a photo of a FRIEND, you should ask them first. Their face belongs to them.
Some examples
- Don't upload your friend's selfie to a fun-filter AI without asking.
- Don't put your sibling's pic into an AI joke without permission.
- If a teacher's face is in a class photo, ask before AI-editing it.
- If you wouldn't share the photo publicly, don't share it with AI either.
Try it!
Pick a photo with a friend in it. Practice asking 'Hey, can I use this with an AI app?' BEFORE uploading.

AI and using someone's photo: ask first
Section 5
The big idea
It might seem fun to put your friend's photo into an AI to make them look like a wizard. But it's their face. They get to decide what happens to it — even in a joke.
Some examples
- Ask a friend before putting their face in AI
- Don't upload classmates' photos for fun edits
- Use cartoon characters or your own face instead
- Delete the AI version if they say no
Try it!
If you want to AI-edit a photo of a friend, text them first and ask. If they say no, pick a cartoon character instead.
Section 6
AI Prank Videos That Go Too Far
Section 7
The big idea
A prank where someone genuinely thinks something terrible happened is not funny anymore. AI makes it easy to push pranks past safe.
Some examples
- An AI voice calling 'mom' for help can make a parent panic for real
- A fake AI video of a friend 'in trouble' can get people to call 911
- Even after the prank ends, the scared feeling stays
- The kid who 'starred' in the video did not say yes
Try it!
Think of a prank that used AI. Was anyone tricked who did not agree to be? How would you feel in their place?
