Who Made AI Art?

When AI makes a picture, it is not exactly the AI's art — and not exactly yours either. The question of who made AI art is a real puzzle.

Some artists are upset because AI was trained on their work without permission. Some are excited because AI lets more people make art.

Try this with a low-stakes example and a trusted adult nearby. The goal is to notice how AI talks about attribution, not to let it make the decision for you.

1. 1Ask AI to explain attribution in plain language, then underline anything that sounds uncertain or too broad.
2. 2Give it one detail from "Who Made AI Art?" and ask for two possible next steps plus one reason each step might be wrong.
